    Double Blind (2024)

Down on their luck, in an isolated facility, test subjects participate in an experiment that goes awry and race against time for their survival.

Flawed yet great indie horror that serves the intended purpose. Double Blind cuts right to the chase. While the experiment does not go awry straight away, the feeling is instant the moment the characters introduce themselves. Half of them are indifferent, but it’s interesting to see what’s gonna happen to all of them. Are they gonna make it? Will the medication hurt them? Will they hurt one another? Their insomnia will mislead the story’s development, blur the lines between reality and paranoia, and increase the suspense to enjoyable and exciting levels.

Great one-location thriller that escalates nicely, captures paranoia brilliantly and is directed and edited meticulously. Furthermore, the ensemble cast gives wonderful performances believing in the film and enhancing the intended enjoyable pseudo-realism.

A lot of effort has been put into it by the director Ian Hunt-Duffy, the cast, and the crew, so I will not bother with certain plausibility issues the story faces.
